汪集暘 1935年10月生于中国江苏吴江，1956年毕业于北京地质学院水文与工程地质系。1962年7月在莫斯科地质勘探学院获苏联地质矿物学副博士学位。同年10月回国后迄今在中国科学院地质研究所工作。1979-1981年在美国弗吉尼亚理工大学及美国地质调查所任访问学者及高级客座研究员。1989年至今任国际地热协会（IGA）主席团成员。1981-1995年任国际热流委员会（IHFC）委员。1995年当选为中国科学院院士，1996年当选为国际矿产资源科学院院士。1970年以来，长期从事理论和应用地热研究，在大地热流、深部地热、地热资源以及油田矿山地热等方面均有建树。在国内外学术刊物上发表论文100多篇，撰写专著6部。主要论著有：《中低温对流型地热系统》（1993），《Geothermics in China》（1996）等。地址：北京 9825信箱，邮编：100029，电话：86-10-62008061，传真：86-10-62027036，E-mail:jywlpx@public3.bta.net.cn.。
Wang Ji-yang, born on Oct.11,1935 in Wujiang County, Jiangsu Province,China, He graduated from the Department of Hydrogeology and Engineering Geology, Beijing Geological Institute in 1956 and gained a Candidate to Doctor (PhD equivalent) of Mineralogy and Geology at the Moscow Geological Prospecting Institute, the former USSR. Since October 1962, he worked and still works for the Institute of Geology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. From 1979 to 1981, he spent two years in the United States first at the Department of Geological Sciences, Virginia Tech as a Visiting Professor and afterwards at Geothermal Project, US Geological Survey, Menlo Park, CA. as a Senior Research Fellow. Since 1989, he was on the Board of Directors, International Geothermal Association (IGA) till now and from 1981 to 1995,he was a Member of International Heat Flow Commission (IHFC). On October 1995, he was elected as an Academician of Chinese Academy of Sciences and in 1996, he was honored as an Academician of International Academy of Mineral Resources. Since 1970, he was engaged in theoretical and applied Geothermics for a long time and big achievements in heat flow, geothermal resources, geothermal studies in oil-gas fields and mining areas etc. have been reached. To date, more than 100 papers and 6 monographs were
